Find & download apps for your car
In cars that have the Google Play Store built in, you can find and download apps for music, podcasts, navigation, and more.
Search for an app
Important:
- You can only use the Play Store in cars that come with the Google Play Store built in.
- Explore apps available in the Play Store.
- If you don't see an app you want, you can contact the app developer.
- Learn about available Google apps features when you use your car without a mobile data plan.
1. At the top of your car's screen, tap Menu

- If the app shows up in the results: Tap it and follow instructions to download.
- If the app doesn't show up in the results: It probably isn't available in your car.
Tip: You can also ask Google Assistant to find and download an app. For example, you can say, "Hey Google, download Waze."
Install a suggested app
1. On your car's screen, tap Menu

2. At the bottom, tap the Play Store

3. Download apps from the collection of suggested apps.

- To download one app: Tap the app
Install.
- To download all the apps in the collection: Tap the collection
Select all
Install.
Purchase apps
- On your car's screen, select the app or item you want to purchase.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase on your Android device or browser.
- If the purchase is successful, the app or item becomes available in your car.
- If there's an issue with payment, try these troubleshooting steps.
