Organize & sort books in your library

To make it easier to find a book, you can organize the books in your library. ​

Organize your books in groups

Create a shelf

1. Open the Google Play Books app .
2. Tap Library  Shelves  Create New.
3. To name your new shelf, tap the title. 
4. To save, tap Done .

Add books to a shelf

1. Open the Google Play Books app .
2. Tap Library.
3. Next to the book you want to add or remove, tap More .
   • To add a book, tap Add to shelf. Then, tap the desired shelf.
   • To remove a book, go to the shelf next to the book, tap More   Remove from shelves.

Filter books by category

Important: These filters are only available on Play Books app version 5.3 and up. 

1. Open the Google Play Books app  .
2. Tap Library.
3. Tap the filters you want to apply. To narrow results, you can apply multiple filters.

Find all the books in a series

1. On your Android device, open the Google Play Books app .
2. Tap Library.
3. At the top, tap Series.

Tip: This list displays all the books in the series, not just the ones you own. You can filter by "Owned" or "Unowned."
