Describes the updated prompt messages for Lync 2010 Phone Edition that has a TTY device - Microsoft Support [MS]

Summary

This article describes the prompt messages that are updated for Microsoft Lync 2010 Phone Edition. Below is the list of new prompt messages that are updated when you select Text Telephony (TTY) in the Settings screen on a telephone that is running Lync 2010 Phone Edition:

  • TTY is currently disabled for this phone. To enable TTY, place the handset on the TTY device following the instructions provided with the device. Then press OK on the phone.

  • TTY is currently enabled for this phone. To disable TTY, remove the handset from the TTY device and place it back on the phone. Then press OK on the phone.

Note The previous prompt messages were as follows:

  • TTY is currently disabled for this phone. To enable TTY, plug a telephone typewriter device into the headset port, and then press OK.

  • TTY is currently enabled for this phone. To disable TTY, unplug your telephone typewriter device from the headset port, and then press OK.

Additionally, the associated information in the help file is also updated.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update.

For Aastra 6721ip and Aastra 6725ip telephones:
