Symptoms

Assume that you close the lid to turn off the display of a portable computer that is running Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1, or Windows Server 2012 R2. When you reopen the lid, you may have to wait for several seconds before the display is turned on again. Additionally, you are not expected to tap the screen or press a key to turn on the display.

Resolution
