Send a picture, link, or file
In Teams for personal and small business use, you can share everything that's important to you, like pictures, files, and links.
Share a photo within Teams

Go to the chat in which you'd like to share a photo.

Tap Plus
next to the Type a message window.

Select Media, where you can:

Tap Camera to use the Camera to take a new picture.

Tap Photo library to select images from your device.
Note: If your Teams photo library appears blank, select Native Gallery
at the top to view your device's photos.

Once you've selected the photo, you can edit the image before selecting Done.

Type a message if you'd like, then tap Send
.
Share a file within Teams

Go to the chat in which you'd like to share a file.

Tap Plus
next to the Type a message window.

Select Attach
, then select from the files on your device.

Type a message if you'd like, then tap Send
.
Share from your device
-
To share a picture or file, find it on your device and tap Share
.

Select Teams from the list of applications.
Note: If Teams isn't listed in the sharing options, swipe left, select More
, then select Teams to add it to the sharing options.

If you have more than one account signed into Teams, tap the down arrow by your profile picture and select which account you'd like to send from.

Enter a message in the Type a message field if you'd like.

Depending on which account you've selected, your account's people or group chats will be available to search for or you can choose from the Recent chat list.

Tap Send
.
You can also send a link to a OneDrive file in a chat.
Share a photo within Teams

Go to the chat in which you'd like to share a photo.

next to the Type a message window.

Select Media, where you can:

Note: If your Teams photo library appears blank, select Gallery
at the top to view your device's photos.

Once you've selected the photo, you can edit the image before selecting Done.

Type a message if you'd like, then tap Send

Share a file within Teams

Go to the chat in which you'd like to share a file.

Tap Plus
next to the Type a message window.

Select Attach
, then select from the files on your device.

Type a message if you'd like, then tap Send
.
Share from your device

To share a picture or file, find it on your device and tap Share
.

Select Teams from the list of applications.
Note: If Teams isn't listed in the sharing options, swipe left, select More
, then select Teams to add it to the sharing options.

If you have more than one account signed into Teams, tap the down arrow by your profile picture and select which account you'd like to send from.

Tap Select. In the To line, you will be able to search and choose from your account's one-to-one and group chats.

You can type a message in the Enter message field, then tap Send
.
You can also send a link to a OneDrive file in a chat.

below the Type a new message field.

Select Upload from my computer, select the picture or file, and then select Open.

Type a message if you'd like, then select Send
to send your picture or file to the chat.
Send a link
Copy a link from your browser or another source and paste it into a chat. Once sent, chat participants can select the link to open it or right-click and copy the link.
Note: If the link supports metadata, it will display details about the link you shared with your group.
Send a picture or file

Go to the chat you'd like to share files to.

Select Attach Files
below the Type a new message field.

Select Upload from my computer, select the picture or file, and then select Open.

Type a message if you'd like, then select Send
to send your picture or file to the chat.
Send a link
Copy a link from your browser or another source and paste it into a chat. Once sent, chat participants can select the link to open it or control-click and copy the link.
Note: If the link supports metadata, it will display details about the link you shared with your group.
