  • DFP now auto-configures required targeting for environment: DFP now ensures that device capability targeting correlates with environment setting. For the "Mobile in-app" environment, DFP automatically includes "Mobile apps" under device capability targeting. For the "Display" environment, DFP automatically excludes "Mobile apps". Auto-configuring required targeting safeguards against mismatches between targeting and environment.

  • Programmatic guaranteed RFPs: Buyers can now initiate programmatic guaranteed requests for proposal (RFPs) with your network from the Marketplace. RFPs include an information card with campaign details specified by the buyer. You can use these details in the creation of a DFP proposal to negotiate terms with the buyer.   • All programmatic proposal status filters now available: You can now filter proposals by programmatic statuses on tables and reports. Learn more about proposal negotiation statuses and stages.
  • Identify alpha-testing buyers in programmatic proposals: An "Alpha partner" label now appears next to non Display & Video 360 buyers who are testing the programmatic feature. This label helps you identify buyers whose networks might not be fully functional and tested yet. Learn more about programmatic proposal line items.

  • Reopen and edit with one click: You can now reopen and edit programmatic proposals or proposal line items directly from corresponding orders or line items. This streamlines your ability to quickly modify programmatic proposals and line items from the "Delivery" tab. You must have permissions to view or edit proposals to see these options.
  • Search by Display & Video 360 partner ID for programmatic proposal: You can now find Display & Video 360 partners in the "Buyer" field by partner ID. Previously, you could only find these buyers by name. Searching by partner ID ensures you're selecting the right buyer for a deal. Learn more about programmatic proposal line items.

  • View and filter list of all proposal line items: You can now view and filter a list of all proposal line items in your network. Find the list of proposal line items by clicking Proposal line items on the left navigation panel under the "Sales" tab. Filters include:
    • Proposal name, status, and ID
    • Proposal line item name and ID
    • Salesperson
    • Archived
    • Type (line item type)
    • Start and end time
  • New email notification and Ad Manager alerts: Get email notifications and Ad Manager alerts now for more important events related to programmatic proposals. New emails and alerts occur when:
    • Buyer proposes changes to a proposal
    • Buyer terminates negotiation on a proposal

  • Bulk edit setting for programmatic proposals: You can now bulk edit settings for programmatic proposals. Previously, you were only able to bulk edit targeting in programmatic proposals. Learn more about editing multiple proposal line items.
  • "Daily digest" email notifications for programmatic proposals: You can now get daily digest email notifications for important events related to programmatic proposals. These events include when a buyer has:
    • Initiated a proposal
    • Accepted a proposal
    • Uploaded creatives
    • Paused or resumed delivery

    Previously, DFP was only able to send individual email notifications related to programmatic proposals.

    Important to know about email notifications

    As of this launch, email notifications are set to the default of "Daily digest". To receive individual emails as they occur for these events, change your email notification settings to "Individual emails".

  • Improved left navigation for DFP programmatic: The left navigation panel for programmatic has undergone a slight update. The default landing page when navigating to proposals is now "My proposals". Previously, the default was "All proposals". In addition, "Finalized" was added after "Sold".

  • Maximum duration must be changed in proposal line items: The "Maximum duration" field for programmatic video line items must now be changed in their originating proposal line items. Previously, traffickers were allowed to modify this value under the "Delivery" tab. Protecting this field from edits guards against errors that could lead to ads failing to serve.

  • Pause and resume corresponding line items from programmatic proposals: You can now pause and resume all corresponding line items from a programmatic proposal without navigating to the "Delivery" tab. Similarly, buyers can pause or resume delivery in DFP from their respective user interfaces. Learn more about how to pause and resume programmatic proposals.
  • Apply ad exclusion labels to proposal line items: You can now include ad exclusion labels in individual proposal line items. Previously, only competitive exclusion labels were available in proposals and proposal line items. Allowing you to use ad exclusion labels at the proposal line item level provides greater flexibility in managing delivery options.
