Add a group plan on Google Fi
You can add up to 5 friends and family members to your Google Fi group plan, for a total of 6 people. For everyone on your plan, you can pay the bill, track data used, and change settings. All group members must be on the same plan type. Learn more about Fi Plans.
Invite members
If you're new to Google Fi, you can start a group plan when you sign up.
If you already use Google Fi:
- Open the Google Fi app
or website.
- Select Account
Manage Plan
Add a Person.
- When individuals join your group, you receive an email.
Accept an invitation
If someone invites you to join their group, you get an email with info on how to accept.
- You can keep your device protection if you already added it to your device.
- If your device is financed, you have to pay off the balance before you can join a group.
Learn about your group bill
Flexible plan- Calls and texts for the group plan owner is $20 per month and each extra group member is $15 per month.
- Shared data is $10 per GB for all group members until you reach your Bill Protection level. Learn more about Bill Protection.
- Your group's owner gets and pays a single bill each month. This bill includes each member's calls, texts, and how much data they've used.
- Any device financing and device protection payments are charged to the group owner.

Unlimited Plus plan
The Fi Unlimited Plus plan is priced per line. This monthly rate changes based on the number of people on the plan. Each month, your group's owner gets one bill and is charged for any device financing and device protection payments.

Learn about member roles & controls
OwnerYour group's owner is the primary member of your group. The owner makes all your group's payments and handles all billing options. The owner can also:
- Change the billing plan for the entire group.
- Assign different roles for any member.
- Add and remove members.
- Review every member's current cycle details, including international call logs.
- Edit any member's data plan and international settings.
- Pause Google Fi service for any member.
- Pause Google Fi mobile data service for any member.
- Start device protection for any of their own purchases.
- File claims for and cancel a device protection plan under their name.
Your group can have only one owner. This role can't be changed to another person.
Your group owner can assign the role of manager to one or more members of your group. Managers can:
- Add and remove members.
- Review every member's current cycle details, including international call logs.
- Edit any member's data plan and international settings.
- Pause Google Fi service for any member.
- Pause Google Fi mobile data service for any member.
- File claims for and cancel a device protection plan, if the plan is in their name and they got the plan before they joined the group.
Group members who aren't owners or managers can:
- Review their own current cycle details, including call logs.
- Edit their own call and message settings.
- Pause or cancel their own Google Fi service.
- File claims for or cancel a device protection plan, if the plan is in their name and they got the plan before they joined the group.

If you are the group plan owner, you can purchase Pixel Pass for:
- Group plan members that are on your plan
- A new member of your plan through "Add Member"
Important: As a group plan owner, you can't transfer your Pixel Pass membership to another member of the group plan.
