Before you set up hardware (no Google Workspace) - Google Meet hardware Help [gg-meethardware-en]

Before you set up hardware (no Google Workspace)

First-time setup for organizations without Google Workspace

If your organization does not use Google Workspace, your setup for Google Meet hardware is a little different.

Step 1: Wait for your welcome email

You might receive your hardware before the welcome email. Do not install the hardware or enroll the devices until you complete the welcome email instructions. You need to complete the welcome email instructions first or errors will occur. The email is sent to the addresses that you submitted with the order.

Step 2: Verify your organization's domain

  1. In your welcome email, find the instructions to sign in to your Google admin account.
  2. Complete the steps to verify your organization's domain.
Important: Do not skip this step. You must verify your organization's domain to enroll and manage your devices. Your domain is the unique name that appears after the @ sign in your company email address and after www. in your web site address. You must verify that you own this domain to ensure that unauthorized users cannot access your Google Meet hardware or services.

Sign up for a free Google Workspace trial

You can optionally sign up for a Google Workspace trial to unlock the full potential and features available with Google Workspace. Wait until after your order is complete and your domain name is verified to sign up. You'll receive a 30-day free Google Workspace trial instead of the standard 14 days. For details, go to Sign up for a Google Workspace trial.
